right on , this is the attitude I am talking about

open a questrade.com RESP acct and buy anything you like , $5 per trade and no maintenance fees whatsoever ...

The LAST thing you want to do is to buy any "group RESP"(e.g. RESP sold by scammer/spammer on this forum or in the real world ). You will be locked in for very long time and have absolutely NO control on what you invest. Of course a large chunk of money goes to the guy who sold you "product" as commission and there is no way to recoup your cost.

Personally I am not too keen on leaving money to the next generation but it's Your choice ...

Personally I won't touch Google with a ten-foot pole ... but again, this is YOUR choice and you have control on what to invest ...
