Vancouver 2010 Short-Track Women's 3000m: Korea Disqualified
At the Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver Wednesday night, there was some drama in at the women's 3,000-meter relay short-track speedskating event as South Korea's team crossed the finish line first but they were disqualified.
CTV has some highlights on video including the moment where the announcer notices what he calls a 'bump' and then China drops back behind South Korea (it begins around the 1 minute mark)
Due to South Korea being disqualified, the United States relay team were awarded Bronze.
South Korea's team made up of CHO Ha-Ri, KIM Min-Jung, LEE Eun-Byul and PARK Seung-Hi crossed the line and were celebrating their win when the judges were discussing something in the middle. Then they made the announcement that South Korea's team had been disqualified for interference.
According to BBC Sport, KIM Min-Jung impeded China's SUN Linlin during a handover when there was still six laps to go, and that move disqualified them.
