- will use the HD to backup photos, home-video DVDs;
- have Windows 2000 and Windows XP PCs;
in this situation, shall i buy 1T or 2T HD? from research it seems some 2T HD (WD Green) uses Advanced Format technology (4,096 byte sectors instead of the usual 512 byte), which may cause trouble even with WinXP.
so what may be the relatively safe and reliable choice? thanks.
