Rain, at times heavy, is expected. A series of frontal waves moving off the Pacific will result in rain heavy at times through Friday. Total rainfall amounts of 50 to 70 mm can be expected for the North Shore in Metro Vancouver, Howe Sound, Sunshine Coast, and between Qualicum Beach and Fanny Bay in East Vancouver Island by Friday evening. Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible. Rainfall Warnings are issued when significant rainfall is expected. Environment Canada meteorologists will update alerts as required. Please monitor local media or Weatheradio. Email reports of severe weather to pacificstorm@ec.gc.ca or tweet with the hashtag #BCStorm.
