当美国总统川普（Donald Trump，）对伊朗发出愈演愈烈的威胁，尤其表示要“让一个文明灭亡”时，民主党人对他的精神状态表示担忧，并呼吁将其免职——而共和党人却明显保持沉默。

《卫报》报道，截至周二（4月7日）下午，已有超过20名民主党国会议员呼吁川普政府引用宪法第25条修正案，罢免被认为不适合担任总统职务的现总统。
