北美中文网报道：第25届加拿大小型商业周(Small Business Week)将于10月17日至10月23日在全加范围内举行，该项活动是由BDC (Business Development Bank of Canada)举办的。今天的主题是：世界无疆界，打开新市场(A World Without Boundaries, Open to New Markets.)。

10月17日列治文商会晚6:30举行的第30届商业杰出贡献奖颁奖典礼

讲话文稿为：Canada’s New Government and Western Economic Diversification Canada are strong supporters of Canada’s entrepreneurs.

Canadian businesses and entrepreneurs are the engine of our economy.

In Western Canada, our engines are running harder and stronger as we entered another year of unprecedented economic development.

This growth CREAtes tremendous opportunities and also generates some challenges for the small business community.

The theme of this year’s Small Business Week, “A World Without Boundaries, Open To New Markets” gives a strong sense of the global action available to our entrepreneurs.

One of the challenges Western Canada has experienced while adjusting to these huge business opportunities is attracting and retaining employees in an economy experiencing a labour shortage.

Western small businesses have risen to the challenge by using productive and innovative recruitment and retention strategies.

The result is growth in the West that ensures a prosperous future.
