The limit of international students added huge financial pressure on all Canadian universities. The big incomes from international students made our universities possible to hire more educators and researchers with competitive salaries and support research projects. Now the booming period is over. Universities started to cut programs and lay off people. That caused the position drops of Canadian universities on the list. This is the nature of economy which has its cycles between booming and cooling. Lots of people believed that housing markets would boom forever and just could not even think of a cooling wave would come. If we look along the history far enough, the housing prices were going up due to the inflation. But there were lots of corrections periodically which destroyed lots of ambitious investors (gamblers). As we all know that immigrants are the major factor of our healthy economy, we need new immigrants to take lower paid jobs which are not interested by local workers. We need a healthy labor structure with multiple levels as job ladders. We need al levels of workers to make our society functional. However, too many immigrants will add pressures on housing, health care and education. That was what happened in the past decade. We need control the amount of immigrants under healthy level. 赞踩回复 0

The BC Conservative Party is currently divided as we can see the vote result of 51% winning ballots. That was actually the fundamental problem of BCCP which cannot successfully unite the majority of its members. Even though it carries the title as conservative, but it is only the sign of running election to get votes from people who wish to return conservative society. As we all know that medicines have side-effects, government policies have side-effects as well. We take one medicine to cure one disease, but it will hurt other healthy parts of our bodies. Lots of patients were in fact killed by medicines which doctors will never tell you clearly or we just desperately want to get cured for that disease and do not care too much of the side-effects.
