This was the only one article published by Globe and Mail. No mainstream media follow. Now we can see that there is another pole of politics in Western world: mainstream media. This is a power which can topple a government. Mainstream media have the powers to paint a government or politician good or bad by keeping broadcast positive or negative news. That is the right way to go. However, Most Canadians have fallen into the trap of ideology. They believe that universal values are cornerstone of the Western world which is superior to the political systems in China which has an authoritarian regime. They are comfort with simple labeling as good or evil. They do not bother to look a little further and bury their heads in sands, cover both their ears and eyes. Most people speaking in public would support this decision which can help reduce the negative impacts from this rare disease. It is really a tough decision to let a family member to die without exhaust all resorts. However, keeping her alive without a cure is cruel for both the girl and family. An early pass may release the girl and family from suffering and start a new life over again. Just like how we take care of our aging parents. It was hard. 贊 3 踩 1 回復 0

This was actually a political decision made by the province. The main stream media keep following up and heating up the sentiments of the public which added huge political pressure on NDP as it worries about polling numbers going down. NDP does not worry about the money. It only worries about its support from the public. Doctors and health care service providers get paid from patients. They will never say their services and medicines are not necessary no matter what. They can use this case as their research and experiments to gain experience with the taxpayers dollars. The family is now in a frustrated situation which cannot let the little girl to die even though she will die in a not long period of time.
