烟花会在English Bay上一艘船上施放.
看烟花以市中心南面海湾和Kits Point为主,在Burrard Bridge以西两岸.
记得早去早占地方，很多街道禁止通行，停车位也很难找。。。
这项每年夏天在温哥华举行的音乐烟火盛大表演，号称海上大型烟火竞赛，每年吸引逾一百万人观看，通常每届有三至四个国家派出代表队参赛。音乐烟火表演于晚间 10 时正开始，持续 25 分钟，配合烟火表演的音乐由 Rock 101.1 FM 电台同步播出。
精心设计的烟火绚烂耀目，与搭配精准的美妙音乐同步施放，多年来一直是温市夏季最主要的大型户外活动之一，也为当地带来庞大商机。以去年为例，在施放烟火的四个夜晚，总共吸引观众一百二十万人次，产生旅游消费等经济效益约一千三百六十万元。温哥华市政府则支付活动期间警务及治安费约三十七万元。
国际音乐烟火节演出时，市中心西尾区及靠近英吉利海滩北岸的克茨兰奴区从晚间 7 时 30 分起至 11 时 30 分实行交通管制，民众以坐巴士、骑单车或步行前往较为省时省事。届时大温交通局将增开高架列车、海上巴士及行走英吉利海滩附近路线的巴士班次。
主办单位呼吁行人及骑自行车和乘坐游艇前往观看烟火表演的民众注意安全，行人晚间穿著以浅色衣衫为佳，游艇必须按安全规定开启工作灯。温哥华港务局鉴于以往国际音乐烟火节表演期间发生过一宗五命船难事件，除增派港务监督外，亦希望驾船观赏者特别小心。
温哥华警方鉴于往年国际烟火节期间曾多次发生治安问题，今年将加强保安措施，在市中心设置五台监视摄影机，方便警方维持街头秩序，妥善控制和疏散拥挤的人潮。
为筹措烟火节所需的资金，将举办由 Save- On-Foods 赞助的烧烤会，参加者可进入特别预留的私人席位观赏烟花。烧烤由表演当天的晚上 6 时 30 分开始，入场券每张 50 元，购票电话 1-877-737-3285，或上网www.ticketstonight.ca。
