Shuswap Lake Provincial Park - (The Provincial Fire Commissioner has issued a precautionary evacuation alert for the North Shore of Shuswap Lake as a result of the McGillivray fire. This area includes Shuswap Lake Provincial Park. The park is OPEN and under no immediate threat. It is expected that if the fire raises any concerns, plenty of notice would be given for an orderly evacuation, but campers should expect to be in a state of readiness to leave on one hour's notice. Good progress is being made on the McGillivray fire, which is a considerable distance from the park. The fire is fully guarded and the guards withstood active winds Wednesday night, August 27, 2003)

Shuswap Lake Provincial Park - (The Provincial Fire Commissioner has issued a precautionary evacuation alert for the North Shore of Shuswap Lake as a result of the McGillivray fire. This area includes Shuswap Lake Provincial Park. The park is OPEN and under no immediate threat. It is expected that if the fire raises any concerns, plenty of notice would be given for an orderly evacuation, but campers should expect to be in a state of readiness to leave on one hour's notice. Good progress is being made on the McGillivray fire, which is a considerable distance from the park. The fire is fully guarded and the guards withstood active winds Wednesday night, August 27, 2003)
