剛上任引爭議稱加房地產危機根源

周二，記者詢問加國總理馬克·卡尼，任命羅品信擔任住房部長是否表明政府不希望房價下跌。

“無法得出這樣的結論，”卡尼說。“我們對住房問題有著堅定的看法，政策也非常明確，”他補充道。他還補充道，羅品信擁有解決部分住房成本問題所需的經驗。

競選期間，卡尼透露，其解決方案的一個重要組成部分是成立一個名為“建設加拿大住房”（Build Canada Homes）的新政府機構，直接監督經濟適用房的建設。競選期間，總理還承諾取消首次購房者購買100萬元及以下住房的商品及服務稅。
